Barry Keoghan ’s Joker could play a large role in Matt Reeves’The Batman - Part II , and I hope he epitomize a classic Alfred quote fromThe Dark Knight . Keoghan’sJoker only appeared briefly inThe Batman , having a belittled vista near the celluloid ’s end and appearing in a deleted tantrum . HisDCfuture is unclear , but he could be meaning inThe Batman - Part II , whether he is the central baddie or a side opposer . Still , this Joker has a lot to endure up to , as every interpreting of the villain is always equate toHeath Ledger ’s Joker .

Ledger ’s Joker is iconic for many grounds . The actor ’s performance in the role was incredible , delivering an sick villain who was always one footprint ahead of everyone else . The Dark Knight ’s Joker was unfeignedly an agent of bedlam , and his deficiency of morals or computer code made him secret and terrifying . All of this make the most iconiclive - action reading of the Joker , who is perfectly described in a quotation by Michael Caine ’s Alfred . It ’s the best description of what the Joker should be , and I am excited to see Keoghan ’s Joker bring that type of scoundrel toThe Batmanuniverse .

Alfred’s Description Of The Dark Knight’s Joker Fits The Character Perfectly

Heath Ledger’s Joker just wanted to see the world burn.

The Joker ’s motivation inThe Dark Knightare rivet on plummeting Gotham into bedlam . He does n’t require index or money . He wants to send the city into a spiral by highlight the city ’s corrupt foundation and raise that people will flip on each other when thing are n’t go accordingly . The Joker ’s personality is expertly add up up by Alfred Pennyworth , Bruce Wayne ’s pantryman , who tells Bruce a story about a brigand who stole precious stone . However , he did n’t betray or trade them , as he stole them for sport .

Director Christopher Nolan craft one of the best superhero series of all time with The Dark Knight trilogy , and here ’s how its entries pile up .

Alfred explains to Bruce : " Some men are n’t looking for anything legitimate , like money . They ca n’t be bought , bullied , reasoned , or negotiated with . Some human just need to watch the Earth burn . " Joker proves this point when he sunburn a vast cache of money , showing that leaving a content is more important than money or power . He is a villain who is intemperate for Batman to compute out , since he has no clear motive besides proving he ’s right about gild .

The Penguin Establishes That Gotham’s Criminals Fight Over Money And Power

The Penguin explores the game of Gotham’s underworld.

The Penguin is an well-fixed villain to examine than the Joker on many levels . His independent finish is wealth and control of Gotham ’s drug empire . The same can be said for Sofia Falcone and Salvatore Maroni - but they all have unlike motives . Oz wants to prove he can make something of himself and make his mother majestic , Sofia desire revenge on her father and the others who wrong her , and Sal wants vengeance on Penguin for his sept .

Their reasoning may be different , butthey all desire the same thing : money , power , and ascendency . The Penguinshows that they may have no morals , but they do have standardised sake . They typically do n’t hurt unacquainted people , but they are n’t afraid of hurting anyone who gets in their fashion . However , they are soft to negotiate with since their motivations are have intercourse . I ’m interested to see how troubled a character like Joker can be once he ground himself in this environs .

Barry Keoghan’s Joker Can Throw Chaos Into The Batman’s Criminal Underworld

Sofia and Penguin may not know how to deal with Joker.

InThe Penguin , the dark underbody of Gotham is still reel from The Riddler ’s actions inThe Batman ’s termination . Carmine Falcone ’s murder and Gotham ’s overflow undid the power power structure of Gotham ’s criminal conglomerate , and the Penguin and other parties are trying to collect the pieces and rebuild . Sofia and Oz are the two top weenie , but they still control with the motivation that they desire to remain in ascendency and keep their wealthiness . The style they maneuver out of certain situations is by bargaining , even if they do n’t intend to keep their end of the deal .

The Joker ca n’t be negociate with , and I hopeThe Batman - Part IIkeeps this aspect of his eccentric . It will be interesting to see how Oz deals with someone who he ca n’t bargain or rationality with . Joker can throw his empire into confusion , and stimulate a massive upheaval in Gotham ’s condemnable underworld . This is something that Batman would have to come up to himself if it unfolded , as he tries to keep the Joker ’s madness from escaping into Gotham ’s soul .
