It Was A Family Affair On The Set Of Nutcrackers
“When you were there on set, it really felt like a family, and it was people who really wanted to be there, doing work together.”
Screen Rant : What was it like filming at your house ?
Ulysses ‘ Uli ’ Janson : It was just an amazing experience , seeing photographic film cameras . We go to the moving-picture show theatre every Saturday , Sunday , sometimes even Monday , because nobody ’s there . So we had a bam filming this . Everybody on the hardening was friends of our moms , friends of David ’s , so everybody have intercourse each other . It was like they were all kin .
Atlas Janson : It was awful interpret film cameras and doing our own movie . And family coming around , making movie was just the funnest thing to do that .
Screen Rant : Linda , what was it that drew you to want to be a part of this movie ?
Linda Cardellini : I have it away David . I suppose he ’s a big theater director . He ’s such a great guy . Ben being in it , I call back was really exciting . And then when I read the script , I thought , Wow , what a beautiful , sweet book , and heartfelt and singular . I think , how are they going to get all these actors to meet brothers ? I do n’t see how that ’s rifle to work . How are they conk to find the right people ?
Then when David excuse to me that it was base on this menage , and he told me about his Quaker Carrie and her boys , I just believe , oh , this sounds so especial . He enunciate , I ’m just making this fiddling moving-picture show that I desire my minor to be able to follow . I think me too . I would like my girl to be able-bodied to watch this . And I have sex a Christmas movie . So it feel like something really special . When you were there on band , it really felt like a family , and it was hoi polloi who really wanted to be there , doing work together , even so much so that , even their mom was there with them , of course , and their papa , but also their granny was there .
Ulysses ‘ Uli ’ Janson : On our other side , our grandad , was actually the someone that take care of the animate being .
Linda Cardellini : I saw him wrangling the peacock at one point .
Screen blah : The Christmas lounge custom in this picture show is a lot of fun . Do you have any favorite vacation tradition ?
Ulysses ‘ Uli ’ Janson : That was actually my brother Homer ’s hardest line of descent , the Christmas lounge family custom - I ca n’t even say it irksome . You could just hear him say it over and over . And I ’m like , seek to go to bed and I just hear him saying over and over , Christmas couch .
Our Grandma always descend over at like 7:30 in the morning , and she ’s in her pyjama . We would follow down , and then she ’s just sitting there in her pyjama , drinking a loving cup of coffee .
Linda Cardellini : Now that I have my own family , my parents number and every morning , it ’s all of us at our house , which is nice because I was always locomote during Christmas , going to everybody else ’s house , and it ’s dainty to last have it at my own house .
Atlas Janson : Well , last Christmas , we did a gargantuan igloo .
Ulysses ‘ Uli ’ Janson : We always make an igloo of some form . Last class we did Baron Snow of Leicester . The other year we compass out of all ice because we have a creek that get this thick of ice . So we were cutting out little blocks of chalk .
The Janson Brothers Had A Hard Time Not Laughing During Takes

Screen Rant : What was the big challenge for you when filming this ?
Atlas Janson : I had a hard clock time not express joy .
Ulysses ‘ Uli ’ Janson : We had a hard time not laughing at all , because we would be like stand up there , and then we would be watching it . Then , because all of the scenes have that funny present moment . One part of the movie , I ’m fret lip rouge , and we had to do five scene because my blood brother , Homer was laugh every single take . He was like , leave behind the room .
Linda Cardellini : I thought it was peculiar when we were at the oddment , and we ’re view the , let ’s just say the motorcycle go around . But it was fishy because I had these shiny studs on my boots , and the volaille was really attracted to them . She kept pecking me during the prospect . She kept pick my animal foot . It did n’t suffer or anything but it startled me .
Screen Rant : What do you hope that families take by from this movie ?
Ulysses ‘ Uli ’ Janson : I experience like , I hope that they go through every human emotion . yell , laugh , have playfulness . You get laid that feel when you ’re in the sunlight and you ’re like , Ah , so nice . I hope they finger that when they ’re watch this picture show .
